JUst a note to congratulate Phil, James and the boys for storming the B division and winning every game. I would also like to thank all my players for making Saturday mornings the best day of the week. The football we played this season has been a credit to the players who were unlucky to finish runners-up in the A division. Well done also to Luke Donegan who finished the season as the leagues top scorer with 27 goals from 18 games. Finally to Captain Sam Brooks who finished runner-up in most MOMs in the A division with 6 from 18 games. Just like watching Brazil.

Just to let everyone know that the person who sent the balloon ticket back from Australia has been in touch with us. As you may or may not know we always send the person who returns a ticket from the furthest place a prize as a thank you. However, this gentleman has actually returned the cheque and requested that we donate the money back into Matty's fund which is a fantastic gesture. This now goes to show what an acheivement it was for a balloon to travel such a distance.

Just a notice to all Dynamos keepers; keeper training is on from 6-7 on a Thursday night down here at the soccer centre. Its just for all Dynamos keepers.

Massive congratulations to the Open Age combination team who have stormed their way with a 6-0 second round victory through to the quarter finals of the FA Charter Standard Cup which will be played in February at the FA headquarters in Salford. A huge well done to the lads and manager Steve Branagan. Simon Cooper, manager of our reserves says ' The players were a credit to the club, with some unbelievable football'.

Just having a quick look through the Tameside Saturday League and can't go without commenting on the incredible start to the season that all four of our teams at Under 8's and Under 9's are having as the league tables make some fantastic reading.I just wanted to say well done to the managers and players involved in this magnificent effort and wish them well in the coming weeks. I hope to get down to see them very soon. Watch out for a photo on the home page of our website of our U11's who trained in Halloween fancy dress on Wednesday night at the Failsworth Soccer Centre.

Can I just say good luck to Ieuan after hearing he has decided to sadly say goodbye to Dynamos after such a long time with the club. I have known Ieuan since he started at Dynamos and managed him for a short time when he formed a fomidable defensive partnership with Matty and was affectionately known as "Psycho". He has been a credit to not only the club but also his parents and I hope he is successful in whatever he now decides to do after Dynamos.

Ieuan
i would like to thank tony my manager and the other coaches and parents for all their help looking after me on saturday, and for all the messages asking how I am. I'm out of hospital now and feeling much better and hope to see all my team mates again soon.
Kane Kelly U9's A
kane, hope you get better soon and come back to the team and score some goals
James T U9's A
I would like to wish Kane Kelly a speedy recovery after his horrific broken arm on saturday morning. His last ditch tackle which caused the injury showed a player with great determination to work for his team and i know we will miss him. Two hat-tricks in his previous 2 games showed he was playing superbly and i know he will be back soon and continue where he left off. I would also like to thank the parents, players and officials for all their help and support whilst kane was waiting for treatment and my assistant Jon Cooper for helping to calm me down afterwards. Finally a special mention for Phil Millward and James Dailey for their support, it means a lot.

Its now a week since we all paid our special tribute to Matty and we are both still getting over how much affection was shown to our wonderful son which makes us very proud. The number of people who gave up their time to help make the tournament and balloon release another memorable event was incredible and just shows what this club now stands for. As you can imagine there are just too many people to name but special mentions must go to our family and friends who in difficult conditions still managed to send up over 4500 balloons in yet another stunning spectacle in memory of Matty. To Jamie and his team from the Soccer Centre for helping to plan and again give up their time to make sure the tournament ran as smoothly as possible. Massive thanks also to all our U14 lads who did a great job as runners to keep the results coming in and several other players from other age groups who joined in. To all the referees who worked tirelessly over the two days and were all there till the very last game, and all the teams who played football in the right spirit for the occasion. Finally can I thank all the Dynamos family for their efforts in selling balloons and for their continued support, especially Leo, Neil and all the other managers who put so much work in to make this event a success, youi know who you are lads. Thank you everyone PS at this moment in time we have already had 165 balloon tickets returned with the furthest reaching Kent, but due to the weather alot landed in Oldham, AUL etc but its still early days so we will give you all regular updates.
Gary & Joanne
Just like to say a big thanks to Leo and all the people involved for the well organised tournament at the weekend. All my teams really enjoyed it and it made the 70 mile round trip worthwhile. I was there on both days and the balloon release was a fitting tribute to matty. See you next year. Good luck for the new season..x

just like to say a big thanks for the excellent tournament you hosted, certainly the best run we entered over the summer. We played quite a few teams on the day and i think they were all a credit to themselves and played the game as a great memorial to the memory of matty, cheers pete

Just a few lines to congratulate Leo and everyone at Failsworth Dynamos for the excellent Tournament that you hosted on the 30th and 31st August. It was a pleasure to see so many boys and girls having a great day played on fantastic facilities with superb organisation. Many thanks to you all for the hospitality that you afforded everyone from B.W.F.C. over the two days. Good luck to you all for the coming season. Regards John John Haworth Bolton Wanderers Academy

We would both like to wish everyone concerned with the club good luck for the big weekend ahead. It looks like it is going to be a massive two days with the tournament bigger than ever. Lets hope the weather is kind to us this year and manage to get through without any problems. We would like to thank all the managers/players/parents for selling balloons but we are short of last years total so a last big push would help to try and get us there. See you all over the weekend Gary and Joanne Dalton

Its is open to all players in the failsworth area 16 plus from any club in the area. Cost is 50p each, and will go to the Matty D fund. It will be counted at the end of the season in the soccer centre. The first run is 2.2 Miles for the first month then we are building it up. Ive just done it in ?? Minutes(not telling you) But everyones times will be kept for your personal bests, so you can aim higher the next week. It will improve your match stamina and we will have a laugh after. Showers and changing will be available. This is open to coaches, dads brothers and yes even sisters and mums(i advise they get changed in the other rooms) Joke!! It will be every tuesday (open to everyone especially dynamos players) P.S. If you cant beat my time you should not be playing!
Cooper Cappello
Just to say a "Biggup" to all the Dynamos seniors, especially the lads who have trained with me. The sessions have been quite hard coming up to the start of the season and i can honestly say in 6 years of football, it is the best bunch of lads i have ever worked with. Attitude, application and respect makes a managers life a dream. Wayne K senior and Wayne "Legend" Joynes make the set up an exciting one and i expect the full squad to have major success this season.
COOPER CAPPELLO
Well done to your lads the other week at Thornton an excellent game of football. Your 3 goals towards the end of the 1st period were the obvious difference with us both having good periods of play during the rest of the match. We've been lining our own games for 3 seasons now so we're used to the banter and I thought that once your lads got to grips with it, that's when they did the damage. Hope we can meet again in the future
Garry Maddox assistant coach Thornton U14's
Just a quick thank you to our U14's who played a friendly at Thornton Cleveleys F C on Sunday and were a credit to the club in their behaviour and performance both on and off the pitch. I hope everyone enjoyed it and from the way we impressed Thornton I am sure we will be back there in the future. A big thank you also to Thornton who made us feel very welcome
Gary
To all managers, players and parents of Dynamos. Although our tournament is still 6 weeks away there is not much time left to get your balloon ticket forms and monies in. It is a massive task to prepare all the tickets that are attached to the balloons before the big day involving alot of people and time especially if we are to beat our total of last year. Therefore we would appreciate a big push on selling balloons now and getting your completed forms to either the managers or ourselves before August 5th at the latest. It is each managers responsibilty to ensure their respective teams do their best to sell as many balloons as possible as at the end of the day it is the players who benefit as all the money raised is ploughed back into helping to fund new kits bearing Matty's name. To those managers who need forms please download them from the website or contact us direct. We want this years release to be as spectacular as ever and thank you all for your efforts in making the annual tribute to Matty so special.
