Congratulations to the U15'S SAT Team in the Cup Final against Whitemoss what a win ...... your performance was outstanding . Thanks to all the parents for their continued support week in week out ...... Thanks once again Matt
matt
Congrats to our U15's Sat team for bringing yet another piece of silverwear to the club. Beating White Moss in the final was a great achievement and will hopefully set the ball rolling for several of our teams to go on and win trophies this season. Well done to all concerned.
Gary D
Well done to the U15s Saturday team who won their cup final yesterday! Brilliant win. Thanks to Matt and Michelle for all their hard work and commitment.
Mrs T
Well done today u6s played Man City U6s and won the first game and lost the others by the odd goal there wasn't much difference between us and a very good Man City side so well done boys.
Ian
On behalf of everyone within the U9s set up, I'd like to congratulate Matt and Michelle on the great cup win by our U15s Saturday team. Well done to everyone concerned.
Tony Jordan U9s
Well guys as I keep saying every week another superb performance again today against West End who beat you earlier in the season 6-0, to lose to a last minute goal was unlucky as you pressed them all the way, taking the lead twice. Well done Lewis. D. on your 2 goals and Lewis.C. on another m-o-m award but as I said you all deserved it today after another great effort, even the West End manager commented on the effort of the kids and how they've improved dramatically since the last time they met, so credit goes to Stevie.P. for all the commitment and coaching he's giving to this great bunch of kids so keep it up guys you are all a credit to the club.
Paul, Director of football U7's SP.
Well done to the Under 15's today in their cup final win against White Moss 2 -1. All the lads played brill and never gave up. Well done to Matt and Michelle too for all their support and commitment.

s Prince U7s SP/MD manager
Well guys what an absolute magnificent result today against Broadway Celtic who beat you 2-0 earlier in the season. Harrison started it all off, then a quick fire hat-trick for Lewis.C. and a strike from Kayley to make it 5-0. A strong performance from m-o-m Nathan and Charlie at the back virtually gave Niall a day off in the net. Jack didn't let anything past him in the midfield with Connor & Lewis.D. all having chances near the end to score. Bailey!!!!!!!!! where did you learn to do all that trickery from, absolutely superb. Anyway well done on the result kids it's been coming for weeks and now it's arrived enjoy the moment. Also well done Duggy on your 1st game in charge. Brilliant today all of you.
Paul, Director of football U7's SP.
Well guys i think we had more chances in that game than we have had all season it was a great perfomance which deserved a better result but keep up that standard of play and we will be ok well done bailey M.O.M and Lewis D fiirst goal for the team
s Prince U7s SP/MD manager
Well another great effort kids today, you should've at least come away with a draw, but never mind. Well done Bailey on your m-o-m award today and Lewis D on your 1st Dynamos goal. Keep going guys.
Paul, Director of football U7's SP.
great website with some great articles and pictures but could do with some updates putting on and fixtures and results updating

Despite losing 3-1 away to Hopwood Lads today (14/2/10), I would like to compliment the lads on their performance. We were not out of this game until the ref blew the final whistle, creating 4/5 excellent chances in the last 20 mins. The whole team put in a fantastic shift. I could mention every single one of them, I was proud of them all. The fitness work we have started concentrating on at training is already paying off, eh lads ? It was the best team effort I have seen for a long time. Let's knuckle down at training , and I'm sure we can surprise a few opponents before the end of the season Steve.
steve cook; u'15's R&OL
Well done guys on yet another great performance from you all. You are beginning to listen at what your coach is telling you and getting results. 2-2 against another good side in Moston Brook. 2 great goals from Lew C, especially the thumping volley for your 2nd which no keeper would've saved. Anyway kids keep listening and learning and no doubt next season will be a good 1, once again everyone well done.
Paul. (Lewis C's dad) U7's SP/MD
Well done everyone on what I thought was your best performance of the season so far against a very good West End outfit. Don't worry about the score, this season is a learning curve for you all, & I say it every week the improvement is there to see. Well done............
Paul (Lewis C's dad) U7's sp/md
well boys for the second week you totally dominated the game but were punished for a couple of lapses in concentration we just have to sharpen up that is all it is. We will work on it in training cos beleave me when it clicks you will be awesome, well done to niall P MOM great keeping son your coaching with Zak is really showing now good to see Nathan H back afetr injury and illness and once again guys well done keep it up proud of you as always
s Prince U7s SP/MD manager
Good luck tomorrow guys, keep up the good work......
Paul. (Lewis C's dad). U7's SP/MD
Just like to say what a great performance we saw today from our U15's in the County Cup even though we lost 1-0 to Moston Juniors who had beaten us 6-1 in a previous league game. We dominated 75% of the match but just couldnt convert any of the many chances we created. Our defence was superb, the midfield battled for everything with some tremendous passing movements and our strikers worked tirelessly to defend from the front. We did not get what we deserved lads but if we continue to play with that committment and workrate we will get something from what has been a difficult season. Be proud.
Gary
Well done everyone on a great performance, especially the 1st half when they scored 2 great goals, 1 screamer from Lew. C. but Harrison finished off, what well could be a contender for goal of the season after some magic passing from 1 end of the field to the other which was a joy to watch. Should've been 4-1 up but a dissallowed goal let Stalybridge claw their way back and salvage a draw, 3-3. Anyway once again well done to you all you are improving dramatically every week.................
Paul (Lewis. C's dad) U7'S "B"
well done to the U15s Saturday team through to the final beating Brendon Bees 8-1 bring it on .. sorry brew trolley in for repairs lol

got so excited about steve cooks u15s scoring 9 goals i said we beat stalybridge i meant to say springhead sorry for the mistake
debbie merrington
Went to watch Steve Cook's U15s on Sunday V Springhead. The lads went down 3 - 0 in the first half and it looked like here we go again. After a bit of ralying and shouting they got themselves back in the game and was 3 - 2 at half time. The second hal saw the best display of football I have seen from the lads in the 5 years I have been watching them. Hard work good passing and teamwork saw them win convincingly 5 - 9. Superb result lads. Well done Steve. Keep It Going
Dave Merrington U17s Manager
well done to Steve Cooks U15s Sunday team who beat stalybridge 9-5 in a hard match in dreadful conditions after losing 3-0 by half time it was 3-2 all the lads were brilliant and kept their heads up lets hope we can continue this way well done Steve and the lads
debbie merrington

Paul. (Lewis' dad) U7's "B"
A huge thank you to the management team of our Under 9's , Tony, John and Mike who invited Neil, Deb, Julie and I to their U9's Parents Christmas meal at Sul Lago on Friday night. We hugely enjoyed the evening which demonstrated the massive support teams like our Under 9's receive from some great parents who help to make this great club what it is. Since thanks goes to one particular parent in Sharon Skinkiss-Loftus who organised the evening which was a huge success - thanks again everyone.
Leo, Neil, Deb and Julie

I would like to thank everyone at Dynamos for the great 4 years my son Daniel has had at the club. Due to other commitments he has decided to call it a day with the u14'S and we would like to wish the team success for the remainder of the season and beyond also a special thankyou to Steve Hank and Leo for great memories both on the pitch and at the brilliant presentation nights.

Leo, thanks for the kind words, it was all down to, two great mates of mine at Manchester City who always have the kids at heart. I just passed the tickets on to the right people. I would like to thank all the Failsworth mob who I had a great day with. I can't remember the lads name, all I know is that he plays centre forward for the under 7's can you thank him for the two fags that he lent to me. Hopefully we can do it all again soon.
Les
A huge thanks to Les Varden of Kippax Boys who sorted out a shed load of tickets for about 70 Dynamos people to go to the Man City v Hull game yesterday. Les is one of the real characters of Grass Roots Football. He is always sorting something out for somebody else and is an all round great bloke. Thanks Les. They all enjoyed the day (apart from the equaliser of course) and we all really appreciate it mate.
Leo Turner
A big thanks to Les Varden for the Man City V Hull game tickets shame about the score Thanks Michelle,Matt and Lil Josh Bez ..

Well done lads on the 1st win of the season a great performance all round a great goal from harrison and a brilliant finish from lewis C on the turn with his back to goal ( a goal rooney would of been proud of) some 1st class defending from M.O.M nathan and the ever impressive Charlie and the all roudn team effort from jack bailey lewis connor and the super star keeper niall Keep up the good work lads and there will be many more wins to come.
Mike D - U7's B Assistant
A special mention to my goalkeeper Zak Booth who scored his first of the season with an excellent kick which bounced once and straight over the head of the unlucky Medlock keeper. A great goal which Zak has been threatening a few times this season. A lot of credit goes to the keeper training sessions run by Zack G and to Zak himself who trains in any weather and is determined to be the best young keeper around and I haven't seen a better one yet. Well done Zak and keep it up.
Tony T

Now and again the guest book is used by people to make comments about something they are not happy about at the club. This is not what the guestbook was intended for as this is a website predominantly to promote the club and give news out. This is not to say that as a club we do not face up to issues and complaints to make the club a better organisation to be part of because in the main, everyone at Dynamos works hard to make the club a great place to be for all the players and parents. Now and again if someone comes forward with fair criticism we will listen. We will take what they say on board providing it is raised in the right fashion and most of the time you will see something change as a result because we welcome your constructive comments and your feedback. With that in mind, instead of posting comments on the guestbook I would invite you to email me directly at leoturner@failsworthdynamos.co.uk and you will always get a reply within 24 hours or ring me on 07725407839 to have a chat instead. You can always leave a message and I will always get back to you.
Leo Turner (Chairman - Failsworth Dynamos)
Well done to both teams in Sat Unders 8s derby. I was proud of both sets of players who tackled hard and showed great skill on the ball. The lads really put on a show for all the dynamos people who kindly put aside their Saturday mornings to come and see us.
Tim J U8b Mgr
I went to watch the U8s "derby" today at the soccer centre after our own game and what a match it was. It was end to end stuff with both teams showing a level of skill and determination that outshone their years. There was great skill, great tackles and great goals from both sides. The coaches of these players deserve a special mention as their sheer enthusiasm transmitted to the players to produce a great spectacle. Well done to Tim Joyce, Jon Cooper, Mike Hukin, Steve Cain and Mick Cooper for their efforts and finally to all the players who put on a fantastic show for all who came to watch.
Tony T U10a manager
Fantastic result on Saturday the whole team played a fab game and we deserved to win. A massive thanks from us goes out to Neil and Michelle for the hard work they have put in over the last few (difficult) weeks. Also to Lee (Billy's dad) and a big welcome to Mark and bring on Heyside next week.
Lucy, Dave and Dylan Under 11's A
After all that has happened in the last couple of weeks I would like to say well done to our Under 15's (Sunday) for battling through the first round of the County Cup yesterday. The lads have had a lot to contend with recently and although we made it hard for ourselves to reach the next round after coming from behind to win on penalties was a great achievement. There were some tremendous performances but to see Matty Green in the shoot out save four penalties with oustanding saves was awesome. Hopefully lads this will give us this confidence to go on from here as long as we show the right attitude.
Gary
Well done again on Saturday U7's "B", you were all superb. Never mind about the score but it is beginning to come together now after all your hard work you put in in training is beginning to pay off. You are all a joy to watch, keep it up lads.
Paul (Lewis' dad).
Unlucky U7's "B" Team on saturday against a well drilled Stalybridge. Everyone of you, Niall.P, Nathan, Connor, Bailey, Jack, Charlie and Lewis all ran your little socks off. On to your next game boys and carry on from where you left off. Well done Niall on m-o-m award with some great saves, and unlucky Lewis on your dissallowed goal. It's a joy to watch how each and everyone of you are improving week in, week out, well done.

mick cooper u8s coach
Thank you for inviting Burnley FC Girls and Ladies Under 10s and 12s to your very well organised tournament. As the start of our season is just less than a week away this tournament has given us the ideal preparation for what I hope is a very successful season. I would like to pay my respects to Matty Ds family and friends who through sheer strength have made something positive come out of this very sad and untimely tragedy, I wish you all the very best for the future. Finally I would like to say how impressed I was with the opposition my team had in the tournament and even though we won, we did not have any easy games and I was suprised that some of the teams had very little experience as they seemed to be able to work together very well. Good luck to all for the upcoming season and thank you once again. Yours Sincerley Chris Holden
Chris Holden (BFC U10s Manager
As the Secretary & Honoury President of this great Club I feels it falls on me to thank everybody for what was a great weekend and another massive success for Failsworth Dynamos FC. The 'Matty D' Tournament has grown over the past four years into an event that tipifies all that is good about our Dynamos family. From the unstinting work done behind the scenes by our fantastic officials (too numerous to mention individually but you know who you are), to the the 'Balloon Team' helping Gaz and Jo send those thousands of balloons up on Sunday, all the teams, coaches & parents who play their football and support us in putting on the event and the referees without who we would not be able to play. With the sad loss of Billy Grogan, a friend who will be missed greatly, coinciding with Matty's balloon release it could have been a sad day on Sunday but I hope Billy would have been looking down and been heartened by the football played and the minutes cheering and clapping held prior to the 4000+ balloons going up. A sad but great weekend that will live with me for a long time. Once again a MASSIVE THANK YOU!! to all those who made it possible especially our Chairman and Tournament coordinator Leo.
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
A massive thank you to everybody at this great club for all their help and support yesterday and over the whole of the weekend. It was probably the best balloon release ever, not so much in numbers, but in the way they soared so high and fast with only a handful having to be re-floated. The respect that was shown at the moment of release will stay with us forever and can you believe that many people yet again saw a letter "M" form as they rose! Lets hope we get a good response with returned tickets and who knows we may beat our record distance from last year? Finally can I just say how proud I was to be part of this club with all the effort put in by so many people especially Leo who has sweat blood and tears to ensure the tournament was such a huge success. Neil who ensured the two days ran smoothly as well as all the other work he puts in pre-tournament. Special thanks to all the people in the catering tent, the shop, the runners, the refs, Pete for his brilliant photos, our friends and family and all the managers who gave up two days to make OUR tournament the best in the country. The whole weekend epitomises what our club is all about, community spirit, support and the family ethic that is Failsworth Dynamos. We are both overwhelmed to see the committment , dedication and love you all show to our Matty who will be a Dynamo Forever.
Gary & Joanne
Well done to everybody who took part in the Matty Dalton Tournament (Sunday, 30th). The balloon race was amazing as they all filled the sky and floated away! It was a brilliant day, thank you for the invite and hopefully see you next year!
Heyside Angels Clarets Under 10's
Well done to everybody who took part in the Matty Dalton Tournament (Saturday 29th), as our first tournament it was really enjoyable and everybody played well! It was a brilliant day, thank you for the invite and hopefully see you next year!
Heyside Juniors Under 7's
I have just returned home from a thoroughly enjoyable weekend refereeing the Matty Dalton Tournament. I thought the whole tournament was a great success and in particular the manner in which the tournament medals were presented by Wayne, Neil and Leo was excellent. Previously i have only read press about under7s and under 8s tournaments and i have to say i thought the idea of them being non competitive was ridiculous but having spent this weekend watching it first hand and the way a huge fuss was made out of each individual who played my opinion has completely changed. I watched most of the medals being presented and it was clear that the kids absolutely loved the event. It was clear that an immense amount of work goes into this event, from tournament committee right the way down to the runners who take in the results and i think everyone present would agree that this effort culminated in a fabulous 2 days (and somehow you even managed to get away with the weather despite the grey skies). In Closing, Whilst this is an event born from great sadness i thought it was wonderful the way Matty's memory was honoured and i am not ashamed at all to say that when the baloons were released i felt quite emotional despite the fact that before saturday morning i knew nothing about the event, the people or the circumstances involved. I spoke with a variety of people over the weekend who had nothing but good things to say about the club and the event and all of the feedback i heard was positive. I wish the club every success for the 2009/10 season and look forward to refereeing your teams throughout the season. Simon King

what can we say? amazing gesture by FAILSWORTH DYNAMOS for our BILLY today. THANKYOU!

We would like to thank matty daltons family and all at failsworth dynamos f.c for inviting Denton Girls F.C to there yearly tournament today. We had a great day and hope to join you all again next year. Well done to all that entered, its not the winning that counts but the turning up and fun to be had by all on the day. Thank you once again Denton Girls F.C.
Denton Girls F.C.
What a fantastic weekend, it just epitomises how great the Club is to see everyone pulling together to make it a success, and it was. It has been a pleasure working with John, Gary, Barbara, Michelle, Karen and Mike on the Parents Committee and we can only hope we go from strength to strength after this weekends efforts. Also thanks to all who helped us in the catering tent, sorry don't know everyones names to mention but you know who you are. Big thanks to Matt for running around everywhere for us and fixing everything. Big thanks to my sister Julie who helped us today. The best moment of all was the releasing of the balloons for Matty and how fantastic they looked when they were released. Me and my family are all proud to be part of such a great club. Heres to a successful season for all teams.
Tracey
Well done to everyone who took time out to help with this weekend's tournament. It was a fantastic two days, perhaps the best one yet, and those who gave up their spare time to see the whole thing through are a credit to the club. It's a real shame such a great weekend had to coincide with the sad loss of Failsworth footballing legend Billy Grogan. I'm sure all of Billy's family and the people involved with Failsworth West would have been moved at the sight of the mass round of applause Billy received before our balloon release for Matty on Sunday. RIP fella

Just like to congratulate the newly formed U7's "B" team who played their 1st ever games together in the Matty D tournament. Every single player played their hearts out today and even winning a couple of their games. With a couple of players returning for the start of the season this team will be going places. Also a great big well done to Steve P for taking on the role of manager, he has got a great little bunch of players who no doubt will not let him down and give their all for him. Once again everyone, well done.
Paul (Lewis' dad)

Just a reminder to all Dynamos, players and parents that if you need any forms to sell balloons then please speak to me or your team manager who have been given forms to hand out to the players. Any managers who did not take the forms please either contact me or download them from the website. Thank you for all your efforts so far and dont forget its you, the players, who benefit, just ask our under 7's who are now proudly wearing the new kit sponsored from the Matty D fund. Also remember there is a prize for the player who sells the most balloons.
Gary & Joanne
Well done 2 the lads on Saturday against Boundary park A and B. We played really well as a team, we took some knocks but being the team we are just got straight back up... and a brilliant day on the carnival. WELL DONE BOYS.
Alan bevan(mason roworth)under 7s
Laytons hopes came true as our U14's won the Brendon Bees's tournament today playing some great football and showing how good this squad can be this season as both teams that entered didnt lose a game between them. Its a tribute to all the lads that at least one team in all four tournaments that we entered reached the quarter finals or better and won two of them. We have new lads coming in this season and being a successful team and well run club is what attracts them. Its the big one next, the Umbro 11 a side, and if we take our form into that then we will have a great chance. Well done lads

Well Done To The U14s Dynamos In The Chaddy End Tourney Lets Hope We Can Do Better In The Brendon Bee's Tournament This Sunday :)

Thanks and well done to all at Ansa Elevators for the hard work and dedication in providing another family fun day for their friends and employees at The Lancaster Club last weekend. Plenty of Dynamos players and families were there and the nice weather contributed to a great day out. The Ansa 5-a-side tourney was in fact won by the Dynamos Dads team, who parked their zimmer frames for the morning to take part. Well done boys (boys?)

Like many others we would like to thank everyone involved with yet another special Dynamos presentation day/night. Leo and Neil hosted the two sessions as efficiently as ever with John organising his little army of helpers to help keep everyone in order during the afternoon. Of course it is always a special occasion for me and Jo especially announcing the two recipients of Martin and Matty's awards who both totally deserved their reward for the committment they have both shown to the club, well done Dave and Millie, I am sure both Martin and Matty would be proud of you both.
Gary & Jo
Yet again another fantastic presentation night, thanks to Leo, Neil and all the managers and organisers for a great night. There is no club I know who produces a presentation night like Dynamos. Proud to be part of such a great Club.
Tracey and family
Congradulations to our under 15s teams. The A team won the Stockport Junior Blues Tournament with the B team reaching the semis. Can I also thank young Kano for going in goals for Mike to give him the chance to play out. This lad is a credit to the club. His parents must be very proud of him. Can I also thank Leo and Gary for all the work they both put in on the day. Without people like these the club will be a lot worse off. Thanks again. Bezies Grandad.butty.
Keith Butterworth
Just wanted to echo Gary's words what a fantastic day, both teams played brilliantly .... but must say the winners OMG played with their hearts on their sleeve and well deserved the praise and credit given .... Once again well done !
michelle James
Well done to our two U15's sides who entered the Stockport Junior Blues six a side tournament today and again showed what a squad of players we have. Both reached the semi-finals with unfortunately only one reaching the final but then winning it on penalties after an oustanding performance coming from 2-0 down. That was after probably the most unbelievable result in the semi-final when in a 5 minute each way game we won 9-1 against a team that had only lost one game out of ten all day and that was against us in the group stages. Superb efforts from all the lads on what was a very hot day and thanks yet again for the never ending support from all the parents, grand parents and families.
Gary
Hi to all managers/coaches U11's and upwards this is one last push can you please speak to your parents and see if you can get any one to help out on the afternoon of the presentation 20.06.09 ..... Thanks Michelle James ( U14's Sat )

Just wondered if anyone has any sponsor sheets out there or sponsor money for myself , Ben or Michael. We are hoping to have a final figure in time for presentation night and would ask that if anyone has collected any sponsor money on our behalf (or if you have not already sponsored out attempts and would still like to please feel free) please can you try and get it to us by next week - Friday 12th June. Myself & Michael are usually at the Soccer Centre on Weds & Thursday 6 - 7 pm or Friday 5-6pm. Alternatively if you want to e mail me I can arrange to collect it or let you have an address where you can drop it off. Many thanks from me, Michael and Ben

michelle
Just want to say a massive well done to Karen Wetton and Ben Lawson for their fantastic efforts in the 10k run on Sunday. We were so proud to see how they both put so much effort in to complete the course wearing their Matty D shirts and very emotional to hear how people shouted Matty's name. It meant alot for us to be there and I am sure it meant the same to Karen and Ben. We must also thank Michael Wetton yet again who once again beat his previous time in the junior run on Saturday and is such a great lad who embodies what Dynamos is all about. Thanks to you all.
Gary Joanne Dalton

Well done to our U17's who were today confirmed as Runners Up in the Tameside Sunday League U17's Division after waiting to see if the last game of the season would see them crowned as champs. This is a magnificent achievement for the lads given the upset that they went through half way through the season and credit goes to Sean Pickering, Tracey and Gary H and a number of parents who have rallied round with the lads to make sure that they are right where they belong. Playing for Dynamos and competing at as high a level as they can. Watch out for the lads of this team as they now become the reserves of Dynamos and play at a very high level of football in lancashire amatuer league on saturdays next season. These are a great set of lads and deserve the credit they are getting.
Leo - Chairman
Well done to Dave Merrington and the U16's. Both Dave and Geraldine have kept this team going for the last two years and the players have shown in that time that they deserved that backing as a great set of lads. They won the Rochdale and Oldham League Cup this afternoon in great style in terrible conditions and totally deserved their 2-1 win. Well done lads. You really deserve to be back in amongst the silverware.
Leo - Chairman
Well done U16s for a job very well done in bringing the league cup back to Dynamos where it belongs. Each and every one of you played like the champions you are. This was a dynamos performance to be well and truly proud of. You showed any doubters just why you deserved to be at the final and why you should have had your rightful place at the top of the league. Well done boys. I am proud to have been your manager for the last 2 seasons
Dave Merrigton
Congratulations to our U16's in winning their cup final this afternoon 2-1 against Milnrow. The result was never in doubt. Well Done!!
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
Well done to the U17's for finishing second in the league, it came down to the last game of the season for Glossop to either draw or lose but unfortunately they won 4-2. Even so a great achievement for the lads in what has been a rollercoaster of a season. Thanks to Sean and Gary for their support and thanks to all the lads for putting in the effort and being a pleasure to watch.
Tracey
Watch out for some articles this week on the news page with the following headings: * BUPA Run For Matty D by The Wettons and Ben Lawson * Joe Rathbone signs for Oldham and plays his last game for Dynamos * Tribute to Steve Hankinson as he leaves Dynamos and a rally round to keep the U13's together for next season * Tribute to Jamie Blood as he prepares to take on his new role at Oldham Athletic * Big thanks to Alan Neatis as he steps away from his coaching role * Simon Cooper takes a back seat for a while and more and more articles everyday on the Dynamos website.
Leo - Chairman
WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY GOOD LUCK TO JOE RATHBONE , HE PLAYED HIS LAST GAME FOR THE UNDER 10S YESTERDAY AND HAS NOW GONE ON TO PLAY FOR OLDHAM . ITS BEEN A PLEASURE TO WATCH JOE WEEK TO WEEK AND I KNOW ALL THE LADS AND PARENTS WILL MISS HIM . GOOD LUCK LITTLE FELLA FROM TEAM MEMBERS AND PARENTS FROM THE UNDER 10S.

I would also like to thank Steve Hankinson for the work he's done over the years. My son has enjoyed every minute and was upset when he learned of Steve's departure which says it all. I would also like to thank Fraser and wish Joe all the best at Rochdale. THREE HUGE LOSSES FOR DYNAMOS!!!
LEE BOYLING AND FAMILY
thanks to steve hankinson for all he has done for the current u13s
frank jordans grandad
I just want to congratulate our U14's Sunday team after a great result last night against Swinton which saw us finish 3rd in what has been an extremely tough league this season. We were only one good result away from winning the title but credit to the two teams who finished above us Moston Jnrs and the winners Fletcher Moss who of course has a few of our old players in their ranks. Its onwards and upwards now lads for the final on Sunday with me and Leo confident that if we play like we did last night we can lift the trophy for the 3rd year on the trot. Thanks also to the parents for their continued support and lets hope we have something to cheer about on Sunday.
Gary D
Great news Dynamos Under 11s on winning at Avros..brilliant.Being a dad of a 7 year old goalie making a name for himself in this corner of Spain I can imagine just how proud all you parents are.Isn,t it more enjoyable watching the kids than it is the overpayed "grown-ups?". Enhorabuena FD,s great web site. Failsworth lad in Murcia.
Michael Sidebottoms uncle.
Just wanted to say how proud i am of all the boys of u14s juniors- its not been easy for Alan and me trying to keep all 20+ players happy whilst still trying to pick up some silverware. BIG thank you must go to parents and players for being so understanding and lets hope we can go on and win the double! GOOD LUCK TO ALL DYNAMOS TEAMS as they look to win cups and titles in the coming weeks. PA
Phil Aitken
I just want to comment on what a great game we witnessed in our derby against the "A" team on saturday. The game was played in great spirits and congratulations must go to both sides. The match could have gone either way and emphasises the improvement of our lads. To come out 2-1 victors against the same team that beat us 12-1 just a couple of years back is fantastic. A massive well done to both teams on a quality game of football.
Bally Under 10's B Team Manager
Can I be the first to congratulate Wayne Kennedy's Under 11s for winning the tournament at Avros this afternoon. Undefeated and beating Stockport, a team yet to concede a goal up to the final, 2-1 was a magnificent achievement. Special mention must be given to Wayne's 'Brian Clough' style management technique of having the team in the Windmill until 10 the previous evening and encouraging the parents to buy him numerous drinks. Well done the team and I feel more success is around the corner after an excellent season finishing 3rd and performing admirably against the teams finishing above. Congratulations Dynamos!!!!
Charlie's Dad
We would like to second the comments made by Charlies dad - fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved - third time lucky !!! Well done to everyone involved. Lets hope this is the start of even more success. Thanks to Wayne & Ben for all the time they put into the football with the kids. Congratulations to all the team !
Michael Wetton & Family

jenny (lewis and jamie dawson)
Watching our Under 9's and Under 8's this morning was simply awesome. This whole mini soccer section of this club has such committment from its managers, coaches and players and I include the Under 5's, 6's, 7's and 10's when I say that. A massive congratulations must go to Tony Tapper, John Cooper, Phil Millward and all their players on a brilliant end to their season with Dynamos A winning their League Cup after 18 games and Dynamos B doing the double and clinching the league cup to go with their league title from before Christmas. Not only did they both win their titles but they did it in style with great football, great goals and a great atmosphere amongst the players, coaches and parents. This is what junior football is all about. Also a special mention to the Under 8's who are playing in a friendly league this year but have won 65 of their 72 A and B team games from Sept. Coaches Tony Jordan, Mike Carr, John Bentley and Mike Nuttall and their players deserve great credit. I am pretty sure that this is an achievement from an Under 8's team that will be difficult to match by any team of any age group but with the way mini soccer is going at Dynamos who knows. Thanks to you all for giving the club a wonderful season to remember.
Leo Turner
I just want to say that I think Tony Tapper and John Cooper have been great managers all season. They always encourage all the lads and even if anyone does anything wrong they tell us how to to it better and that it what managers should be like. Well done to all they lads we played great today.
Tom Wilson u9's A
Congratulations to Failsworth Dynamos A under 9's who won the Tameside League Cup today. The whole team were fantastic and played outstanding football. I would also like to congratulate Tony Tapper and John Cooper who have been great managers for the lads this, and every season. They are a great example of how childrens football should be managed. All the boys have a fair amount of football and receive great encouragement from them. Well Done.
Paul Wilson
I'm sure everyone involved with the Under 8s squad would like to join me in congratulating our two U9s teams for winning three of the four pieces of silverware on offer to them this season in the Tameside Mini-soccer League. Well done Tony and Phil
Tony Jordan
A massive well done to our U8's & U9's teams, after 4 great results this morning they have all secured their League Cup titles (although the U8's is a friendly competition). Tony J, John B, Mike C, Phil M, Tony T & Jon C have pulled out all the stops this season, moving to a new league and all four teams have performed magnificently. The future of Dynamos on the pitch is in very good hands. WELL DONE TO ALL THE MANAGERS, COACHES & PLAYERS!!!
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
Our Under 9's and Under 8's teams in the Tameside & District Saturday League play their final fixtures of the season this weekend at King Georges Playing Fields in Ashton starting at 9.30am and running through to 11.30am. All four of our teams have had incredible seasons with the Under 9's A and B both challenging for further honours in their respective League Cups this weekend and our Under 8's A and B ( who play in a friendly league) going for an incredible 36 match unbeaten run - both of them. This is a call to all Dynamos managers and coaches that can get down there on Saturday to cheer the teams on and give the players and their managers and coaches the credit and recognition that they deserve for their magnificent achievements this season.
Leo Turner
Just like to add my congratulations to our Under 14's for reaching a third consecutive Challenge Cup Final which at any level of football is a tremendous achievement. We dont make things easy for ourselves but we again showed character to come from behind on a difficult pitch to make it an Under 14's double on May 10th. To have both our Sunday U14's teams together on Finals day is fantastic not just for the teams but also for the club as a whole and it would be great to see as many people there to show their support on the day.
Gary D
Three years ago after making the county cup final at Under 11's our present Sunday under fourteens had to split to form two teams due to the number of players. It is a great tribute to the club to see both of those teams in cup finals on the same day in the Tameside league on Sunday 10th May when they will follow one another onto the field and compete in the Challenge Cup Final and the League Cup Final. Well done Lads. This is great end to the season for both of you and best of luck in your challenges over the next few weeks for league honours too.
Leo
Well done to the Under 14's for winning their semi final today. How great to have both Under 14's in a final on the same day. Credit to all the lads and their Managers.
Tracey
i just want to say well done to dynamos juniors under 14's with their winning streak - not been beatin in the league yet and getting to a cup final. Also to say fankyou to my managers alan and phil they are great managers.

Dave Merrington U 16s Manager
Just come back from watching our U16's winning their Semi Final against Copper Pot 2-1. It was a hard fought game that looked odds on to going into extra time before Cash notched the winner in the last minute. Well Done Lads!! Bring on the Final.
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
Congrats to our Under 14 jnrs for reaching their league cup final. Also top of the league at the moment so well done to the whole squad and management. Lets hope we can make it a Cup Final double when we take on Stalybridge in two weeks.

I would also like to pass on my thanks and congratulations to Gary and all his family for making this the best Gala Dinner to date. All on our table thoroughly enjoyed all the acts and the meal and the five lads from our Open Age Sunday team (attending their first official Dynamos function, other than the Presentation Evenings)also really enjoyed the night. Once Again Well Done!!
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
I'd like to be the first to congratulate Gary H on a wonderful evening at the City of Manchester Stadium last night. This was even better than previous years (and that's saying something) with non stop entertainment and activity throughout the night. Most of all though this was a fantastic Henderson Family effort which was absolutely brilliant. Thanks Gary. (Please see the front news page for the full tribute to this great event)
Leo (Chairman)
Just to wish the U14'S Saturday team all the best for the semi final against Clayton Villa.Feel free to come and support the lads. "Sign the match card boys"
Mrs J
Well done to the Under 17's on Sunday for a long overdue win away at Farnworth Boys.
Tracey
When we launched the website some time ago, one of the objectives was to never use the site as a way of debating things which I have seen other club's sites do. It can end up bringing the club into disrepute and being in the main a children's football club we have to be very careful what we publish. For that reason, I need to let you know that we don't approve comments that are rude or create a debate or could be offensive. We are lucky because we don't get many and of course we don't want to be seen to be censoring decent views either. I write this because we have had one or two comments about our proposed merger which the guestbook is not the right vehicle for. In order to be fair though and to make sure that all our players and parents know that they do have a voice at the club, I will be sending a club communication out in the next few weeks to indicate how you can have a say and how this will be organised. In the meantime, please only use the guestbook as it was intended, as a vehicle for positive messages for the kids and other members of the club and their families. If you have any complaints about the way the club or the website is run, please either write to our secretary, Neil Blood or our Parents Representitive, John Bentley using their contact details listed under 'Contact Us'. Alternatively, you can apply to be part of the club's new parents committee (see downloads to the left of this page and to download the details)
Leo Turner - Chairman
Congratulations to the 8s and 9s in the Tameside League. Pleasure to watch the 4 teams on a Saturday morning. All lead the tables. Club's in good hands. Well done guys

I would just like to take this opportunity to wish all involved with Failsworth Dynamos a Happy & Successful New Year and thank you all for your contribution in making 2008 another great and successful year. In 2009 we hope to continue with the fabulous work already in progress and make the coming year another landmark one for the 'Dynamos'.
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
I just wanted to wish everyone at Dynamos a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year on behalf of the club's Under 8s. So best wishes, and many thanks for the continuing support our squad receives from this fantastic football club we are so proud to represent.

JUst a note to congratulate Phil, James and the boys for storming the B division and winning every game. I would also like to thank all my players for making Saturday mornings the best day of the week. The football we played this season has been a credit to the players who were unlucky to finish runners-up in the A division. Well done also to Luke Donegan who finished the season as the leagues top scorer with 27 goals from 18 games. Finally to Captain Sam Brooks who finished runner-up in most MOMs in the A division with 6 from 18 games. Just like watching Brazil.
Tony T U9a manager
Just to let everyone know that the person who sent the balloon ticket back from Australia has been in touch with us. As you may or may not know we always send the person who returns a ticket from the furthest place a prize as a thank you. However, this gentleman has actually returned the cheque and requested that we donate the money back into Matty's fund which is a fantastic gesture. This now goes to show what an acheivement it was for a balloon to travel such a distance.
Gary & Joanne
Just a notice to all Dynamos keepers; keeper training is on from 6-7 on a Thursday night down here at the soccer centre. Its just for all Dynamos keepers.
Zack Grimes
Massive congratulations to the Open Age combination team who have stormed their way with a 6-0 second round victory through to the quarter finals of the FA Charter Standard Cup which will be played in February at the FA headquarters in Salford. A huge well done to the lads and manager Steve Branagan. Simon Cooper, manager of our reserves says ' The players were a credit to the club, with some unbelievable football'.

Just having a quick look through the Tameside Saturday League and can't go without commenting on the incredible start to the season that all four of our teams at Under 8's and Under 9's are having as the league tables make some fantastic reading.I just wanted to say well done to the managers and players involved in this magnificent effort and wish them well in the coming weeks. I hope to get down to see them very soon. Watch out for a photo on the home page of our website of our U11's who trained in Halloween fancy dress on Wednesday night at the Failsworth Soccer Centre.

Can I just say good luck to Ieuan after hearing he has decided to sadly say goodbye to Dynamos after such a long time with the club. I have known Ieuan since he started at Dynamos and managed him for a short time when he formed a fomidable defensive partnership with Matty and was affectionately known as "Psycho". He has been a credit to not only the club but also his parents and I hope he is successful in whatever he now decides to do after Dynamos.
Gary D
hi im just posting this to say thanks for all the help you have given me this year and the past 8 years of me playing at dynamos ive really enjoyed it. Thanks to alan and phil this year ive felt i have really emproved over this year and thanks to all the other coaches who i have ever been trained by.thanks dynamos
Ieuan
i would like to thank tony my manager and the other coaches and parents for all their help looking after me on saturday, and for all the messages asking how I am. I'm out of hospital now and feeling much better and hope to see all my team mates again soon.
Kane Kelly U9's A
kane, hope you get better soon and come back to the team and score some goals
James T U9's A
I would like to wish Kane Kelly a speedy recovery after his horrific broken arm on saturday morning. His last ditch tackle which caused the injury showed a player with great determination to work for his team and i know we will miss him. Two hat-tricks in his previous 2 games showed he was playing superbly and i know he will be back soon and continue where he left off. I would also like to thank the parents, players and officials for all their help and support whilst kane was waiting for treatment and my assistant Jon Cooper for helping to calm me down afterwards. Finally a special mention for Phil Millward and James Dailey for their support, it means a lot.
Tony Tapper U9A

Its now a week since we all paid our special tribute to Matty and we are both still getting over how much affection was shown to our wonderful son which makes us very proud. The number of people who gave up their time to help make the tournament and balloon release another memorable event was incredible and just shows what this club now stands for. As you can imagine there are just too many people to name but special mentions must go to our family and friends who in difficult conditions still managed to send up over 4500 balloons in yet another stunning spectacle in memory of Matty. To Jamie and his team from the Soccer Centre for helping to plan and again give up their time to make sure the tournament ran as smoothly as possible. Massive thanks also to all our U14 lads who did a great job as runners to keep the results coming in and several other players from other age groups who joined in. To all the referees who worked tirelessly over the two days and were all there till the very last game, and all the teams who played football in the right spirit for the occasion. Finally can I thank all the Dynamos family for their efforts in selling balloons and for their continued support, especially Leo, Neil and all the other managers who put so much work in to make this event a success, youi know who you are lads. Thank you everyone PS at this moment in time we have already had 165 balloon tickets returned with the furthest reaching Kent, but due to the weather alot landed in Oldham, AUL etc but its still early days so we will give you all regular updates.
Gary & Joanne
Just like to say a big thanks to Leo and all the people involved for the well organised tournament at the weekend. All my teams really enjoyed it and it made the 70 mile round trip worthwhile. I was there on both days and the balloon release was a fitting tribute to matty. See you next year. Good luck for the new season..x
Arthur Hayes (secretary) Heath Rangers JFC
just want to say thanxz for a well organised tournament and well run and especially the ballon release was the best and to see so many teams get behind the matty dalton tournament was a real eye catching moment for all of us our thoughts go out to mattys parents and all the players at failsworth dynamos whole team
stephen hughes afc clayton manager
thank you to gary and joanne for another monumental and extremely moving balloon release. it was an amazing experience again and a real credit to them and their helpers. a beautiful tribute. long may dynamos continue to push to honour matty this way and keep remembering why we do this.
tony tapper u9a
just like to say a big thanks for the excellent tournament you hosted, certainly the best run we entered over the summer. We played quite a few teams on the day and i think they were all a credit to themselves and played the game as a great memorial to the memory of matty, cheers pete
pete troy(duky youth u9s)
Just a few lines to congratulate Leo and everyone at Failsworth Dynamos for the excellent Tournament that you hosted on the 30th and 31st August. It was a pleasure to see so many boys and girls having a great day played on fantastic facilities with superb organisation. Many thanks to you all for the hospitality that you afforded everyone from B.W.F.C. over the two days. Good luck to you all for the coming season. Regards John John Haworth Bolton Wanderers Academy
John Haworth
We would both like to wish everyone concerned with the club good luck for the big weekend ahead. It looks like it is going to be a massive two days with the tournament bigger than ever. Lets hope the weather is kind to us this year and manage to get through without any problems. We would like to thank all the managers/players/parents for selling balloons but we are short of last years total so a last big push would help to try and get us there. See you all over the weekend Gary and Joanne Dalton

Just to notify everyone that the footballers running club will start this Tuesday 26th August at the Soccer Centre at 7pm prompt. Its is open to all players in the failsworth area 16 plus from any club in the area. Cost is 50p each, and will go to the Matty D fund. It will be counted at the end of the season in the soccer centre. The first run is 2.2 Miles for the first month then we are building it up. Ive just done it in ?? Minutes(not telling you) But everyones times will be kept for your personal bests, so you can aim higher the next week. It will improve your match stamina and we will have a laugh after. Showers and changing will be available. This is open to coaches, dads brothers and yes even sisters and mums(i advise they get changed in the other rooms) Joke!! It will be every tuesday (open to everyone especially dynamos players) P.S. If you cant beat my time you should not be playing!
Cooper Cappello
Just to say a "Biggup" to all the Dynamos seniors, especially the lads who have trained with me. The sessions have been quite hard coming up to the start of the season and i can honestly say in 6 years of football, it is the best bunch of lads i have ever worked with. Attitude, application and respect makes a managers life a dream. Wayne K senior and Wayne "Legend" Joynes make the set up an exciting one and i expect the full squad to have major success this season.
COOPER CAPPELLO
Well done to your lads the other week at Thornton an excellent game of football. Your 3 goals towards the end of the 1st period were the obvious difference with us both having good periods of play during the rest of the match. We've been lining our own games for 3 seasons now so we're used to the banter and I thought that once your lads got to grips with it, that's when they did the damage. Hope we can meet again in the future
Garry Maddox assistant coach Thornton U14's
Just a quick thank you to our U14's who played a friendly at Thornton Cleveleys F C on Sunday and were a credit to the club in their behaviour and performance both on and off the pitch. I hope everyone enjoyed it and from the way we impressed Thornton I am sure we will be back there in the future. A big thank you also to Thornton who made us feel very welcome
Gary
To all managers, players and parents of Dynamos. Although our tournament is still 6 weeks away there is not much time left to get your balloon ticket forms and monies in. It is a massive task to prepare all the tickets that are attached to the balloons before the big day involving alot of people and time especially if we are to beat our total of last year. Therefore we would appreciate a big push on selling balloons now and getting your completed forms to either the managers or ourselves before August 5th at the latest. It is each managers responsibilty to ensure their respective teams do their best to sell as many balloons as possible as at the end of the day it is the players who benefit as all the money raised is ploughed back into helping to fund new kits bearing Matty's name. To those managers who need forms please download them from the website or contact us direct. We want this years release to be as spectacular as ever and thank you all for your efforts in making the annual tribute to Matty so special.
Gary & Joanne
From Saturday 19th July I'm running a goalkeeping session at the Soccer Centre open to all goalkeepers. The cost is £2 and it's between 10am - 11am. I hope to see most of the Dynamos keepers there. So managers and parents get on to your keepers to put in some extra training! Thanks.
Zack Grimes
First can I say what a fantastic couple of nights we have just had and congratulations to all the Managers, players and parents for making both evenings a massive success. Thanks to our guests, Deane Smalley, Greg Hartley & Michael Gomez for their unstinting help in presenting the trophies. It was hard work on that stage!! Congratulations must also go to all our individual team award winners and especially to Joe Rathbone, Shents, Bally & the U9's B team & Phil, James & the U8's B team for their Special Achievement awards. A massive well done to Zack Grimes for winning the Matty D shield, I'm sure this is only the beginning of Zack's achievements within our Club. I must, on behalf of Deb, Jamie and Josh, thank all those who nominated us for the Martin Harding shield. Winning this award, as a family, made the weekend a very emotional experience and our thanks also go to Gary, Jo & John. Last but not least I must thank Leo for continuing to surprise us all in the lengths he will go to, to provide our Dynamos Community with the very, very best. You're my Hero m8. The Blood Family x
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
A massive thank you to all the boys who turned out for me at the Chaddy End tournament they really did Dynamos, themselves and me proud. They played some fantastic football, they were a joy to watch and above all else they enjoyed themselves - thanks lads
Steve Hanky U12's
A Huge thank you to Leo and all the committee and every one involved with the presentation night, what a great time it was, also big heartfelt thanks to the boys on my team that nominated me for the Martin Harding award I was genuinely surprised and very touched - once again thanx from all the under 12's and the Hankinsons
Steve Hanky u12s
thank you 4 everything steve.........once a dynamo always a dynamo!
d.boyling
Massive congratulations to Zack Grimes for the Matty D award. Thoroughly deserved for the work and effort he puts in. Whether it be for the older keepers or younger ones he always takes the time and treats them all equally which means a lot to the younger ones. My goalkeeper Zak Booth is really benefitting from Zacks help and sees Zack as a genuine role model for what can be achieved from hard work and dedication. Also Neil, Deb and Jamie, say no more, a truer Dynamos family you will not meet. Great work Leo again.
tony t u8a
On behalf of last season's Under 7s I'd like to pass on a huge thank you to Leo, Neil and the other committee members for staging yet another fantastic presentation weekend down at The New Century Hall. The Co-op did us proud once again and proved beyond doubt what a fantastic and benevolent organisation they are by helping sponsor community sporting events like ours for the benefit of young local people. My own lads seemed to have a smashing night and I was immensely proud to be able to represent such well behaved and talented young men on the night. They are a credit to both their parents and Failsworth Dynamos FC and I wouldn't swap a single one of them. Congratulations also to Zack and the Blood family on their awards. Well done everyone.
Tony Jordan U7s Manager
Well where do I start? What a great night it was. I must give a great thanks to everyone who nominated me for the Matty D award, an award which really means a lot to me and I am extremely grateful for. I have put a lot of hard work in over the last year with the lads and I am really looking forward to another season, which hopfully will be set up a lot better to produce some good goalkeeping for the upcoming season and many many more! I must thank all the keepers, parents and a big thank you to Neil Welden and Steve Hankinson because without all of them all this would not have happened. The support i've had in this club has been immense, just the atmosphere and family type bond everybody has, makes the place a very enjoyable place to be, a big thanks here to John and Barbara Bentley. I really am looking forward to next season and many more to come, last night was amazing and made me want to become such a big part of this club. Once again the Matty D award really does mean something to me and for Gary and Joanne i want to play a part in keeping the memory of Matty out there. Thank you to everyone for making this possible, especially my lads, you've done excellent this season and next year we will have our own slot on the presentation night. Keep up the hard work! ONCE A DYNAMO, ALWAYS A DYNAMO!
Zack Grimes
We would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in the two fantastic presentation evenings especially Leo, Neil and the managers/coaches who put so much effort into making them what must be the best nights not just in Manchester but in the country. It would not be possible without the dedication of these people and not forgetting the unbelievable support from The Co-operative Group who we owe a massive debt. Congratulations to all the winners but we are all winners to be part of such a great family that is Dynamos. It was very emotional for both of us to see Zack Grimes receive the Matty D award and to see and hear his reaction just proved what this award means to people and makes us so proud to keep Matty's memory out there. Debs, Neil and Jamie were also well deserving recipients of the Martin Harding award. The next big event is the Tournament so lets all do what we can to make sure that this is as successful and memorable as previous years and sell as many balloons as possible to ensure the release is even more spectacular then ever. Thank you
Gary & Joanne
On behalf of Joe, I would like to thank Jamie, Neil, his team mates and parents for the card and voucher they presented him with at training. This was totally unexpected but at the sametime typical Dynamo's ,whenever any team or individual achieves something , the whole club is genuinely pleased. We are not just a Football club , we are becoming a community. ONCE A DYNAMO ALWAYS A DYNAMO.
Wendy Rathbone
A huge thanks to Zack for his total committment to setting up a Goalkeepers school at the club. Dynamos are fully committed to formalising this session very soon and getting some sponsorship for the sessions to support Zack properly. Well done Zack - it is this sort of thing that will set the club apart from others.
Leo (Chairman)
Can i congratulate all my keepers who get in on a thursday night and put the hard work in. A lot of this training goes unnoticed and these lads deserve the credit. Next season i hope to build on from this and i really want to make it a Dynamos Goalkeeping School, not just a training session. Keep up the hard work lads!
Zack Grimes
When you have brothers like Sam and Ben Rathbone it would be easy to live in their shadow. Not young Joe Rathbone. What an achievement - Player of the Year in the Manchester Youth and Mini Soccer League. Neil's comments are spot on both on the guest book and on our front page. The club is so proud of Joe. Not just because he is a great player - not just because he has won this award but because he sets an example with what he does for his team and for Jamie of what it is to be a Dynamo. well done mate.
Leo - Chairman
Just like to echo the girls comments about the Midland Dinner that Alan and Tony Tapper put on for the club with the help of the superb Revellers team and our auctioneer for the evening, Gary Owen. It was a first class evening that everyone who attended enjoyed. On behalf of the club lads - well done and thanks again for your fantastic efforts. A quick word of thanks also to Gary Henderson who yet again came up trumps with his support for Alan and Tony's efforts. The club is lucky to have these people involved.
Leo - Chairman
Hey there =] We would just like to say a big Thank-you to the Tapper family for organizing a great evening. We woud also like to say a big thank-you to Revellers. They certaintly got everyone up dancing. This is another great evening that dynamos have done. My Dad has alot to live up to for his next dinner - Thank-you once again XXX
Olivia and Nikita (Dynamos Models)
May I be the first to post on the guest book my congratulations to Joe Rathbone. As Jamie's Dad I have watched most of the U9's A team's games this season and it has been a joy to watch the whole team improve, but especially Joe. Week in week out he produces great, consitant performances culminating on Wednesday evening with him picking up the MY&MSL U9's Player of the Year trophy. To win awards and trophies for your team or club is honour enough, but to be recognised by the league and the other teams you play against is special. Joe is the youngest of 3 brothers who have all played & starred for Dynamos teams. Steve & Wendy you should be proud of Joe, he is a credit to you and an example for all Dynamos players. WELL DONE JOE!!
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
DYNAMOS RULE well done u9 b for winning fair play award
sam larty
Congratulations to our Under 13's who won the Moston Brook Tournament on Saturday. We entered two teams in what proved to be a very strong age group. Both teams won their groups but unfortunately faced each other in the semi-final where Leo's lads scraped a lucky 1-0 win, only joking. It was a close game with Michael B making a couple of great saves to see them through to the final where they faced our arch rivals Chaddy End. Once again there was nothing between the two sides and with the result ending 0-0 it went to the dreaded penalties. We do not have the best record in penalty shoot outs but we neednt have worried as we took 5 excellent kicks and once again Michale B was the hero saving two pens and having not conceded a goal in the group stage was the obvious choice as our player of the tournament. Well done to both teams as our successful season continues.
Gary D
Just going to second what our captains said below, yesterday was fantastic for all involved and the award we won will hopefully in the long run be a stepping stone to further success. Well done everyone!
Bally and shents
I just want to say a big well done to my team mates on winning the fair play trophy at the Salford Soccer Festival on Sunday hopefully this will be the first of many trophies and thanks to Bally and Shenton the managers for doing such a great job with us all and being patient. Thanks to all the parents aswell.
Ben Hough U9s B Team Captain
Iwould like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for the magnifcent effort, skill, determination and team spirit that they have shown in their football this season. I would also like to thank all parents, grandparents and brothers and sisterts for their continued support of the team as a whole and not just their own sibling. The football has been a joy to watch and i am very proud of what we are starting to achieve. Long may it continue
Tony Tapper
I would like to say a huge well done to Phil,James and the lads on winning the B league down at Ten Acres playing some tidy football along the way.
Lee WEST A,B and C
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Under 10s parents derby at Brierley Avenue last night. Well done to the victors, the B Team parents who performed stylishly and with panache, deserverdly taking the game comfortably 8-0. There were many good performances from the B Team, notably manager Ben Lawson who turned out despite suffering from a nasty injury. B Team number 7 Jimmy Mason modestly nominated himself as Man of the Match, particularly going on and on about his goal at the post match VIP party held at the Mare & Foal, with which he compared favourably to David Beckham's half way line shot. Special mention must be made of Tony Wetton's second half performance the likes of which we shall probably never see again. A Team manager Wayne Kennedy, obviously keen to put on a good show, was shackled admirably by the B team defence and, to be honest, never really got a sniff. The onlooking Under 10 defenders could be heard referring to the majestic B Team number 2 as a 'role model centre back'. B Team are looking forward to bigger and better things but may grant the A Team a face saving rematch at sometime in the future.
Charlie's Dad
We would just like to say well done to Michael Wetton on completing the Greater Manchester run last week and he even bettered his time from last year which is brilliant. We were both very touched when we heard Michael wanted to raise money for Matty's Fund and proves again what a worthy winner he was of the Matty D award last year. Thank you Michael and hopefully your efforts will inspire the Dynamos family to nominate a player to follow in your footsteps this year. So everyone out there please find a few minutes to let us know who you think deserves to win the Matty D award this year. Please send your nominations in to either me or Leo asap. Thank you
Gary & Joanne
Having arrived back from sunny Cost Del Sol late last night can I be the first to post a massive congratulations to our Open Age Sunday team. Having had 22 lads signed on this sesason we were down to a solid 14 at the end, however the lads have performed brilliantly. Winning the league by 7 points and capping it on Sunday by resoundly defeating one of our closest rivals 3-0 to win the Divisional Shield has been a great 1st season in open age football. With most of the lads aged 19 or younger and add to the league success a County Cup quarter final we've enjoyed a great season. WELL DONE LADS!!!! You've made me, Simon n Fran proud.
Neil
I would like to say a big thank you to Wayne & Ben plus all my team mates for making the season one of the best we have had. Congratulations to the A Team on finishing third. I'm sure we will do even better next year Mike Wetton
Michael Wetton - Under 10's B team
thank you wayne for training us!
Callum Green under 10's
Congratulations to Phil, James and all the U8's boys who won the MYAMSL B division with games to spare. This team keeps getting better and better and will go on to bigger things.
Tony T
i would like to agree with Wayne on the Under 10's A this season.LOUIS.MICHAEL..ALEX.MILLIE.AIDAN.ADAM.JAMIE,,CAMERON..BRAD...you have done the club proud this season and played some terrific football and got better and better as the season went on....Dynamos will have a cracking under 11's 11 a side next season and silverware will be ours !...Thanks Wayne for a job well done
Andy
I would just like to congatulate my under tens team for their excellent season in the Manchester amateur league. We have just fell short of the silverwear this year finishing in 3rd position. We also got to final of the Avros tournament and for the 2nd year running lost on penaltys. I am so proud of my team's progress this year and we are going to fill our trophy cabinets next year Dynamos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wayne Kennedy Jnr
Huge congratulations to the open age teams - I saw how much work you guys put in over the last two years and you really deserve the success you are getting. Hope you had a great weekend celebrating - once again well done to Wayne, Tony and the boys. If you get chance, drop me an email at jonathanplatt@hotmail.com
Jonathan Platt - in the USA
Just like to say hard luck to our Under 13's Juniors in their League Cup Final. It was a great game and could have gone either way but they never got the breaks and had a goal disallowed which could have changed the result. However, to reach the final was a great achievement and should give you all confidence to push for the league next season. Well done to everyone involved.
G Dalton
Just want to say to your under 13s a big well done in our final. Your team gave it all and made it a great game to watch. Although we won it could of gone both ways. Good luck next season.
Toe Afc Clayton
Fantastic achievement by our two senior teams in winning their respective leagues. Wayne, Simon, Neil and everyone else involved have done the club proud and set the standards for those who follow. These lads are Dynamos through and through and their success can only help with our profile in pushing forward with the Broadway project. Well done to all.
G Dalton
We have had alot going on this week as seasons draw to a close for most of our teams. We have a great reputation as a junior football club but this week belongs to our two open age teams as our Open Age Saturday team won back to back promotions in the Lancs Amatuer League as CHAMPIONS AGAIN. Then our Open Age Sunday team win the Oldham Sunday League at their first attempt in Open Age Football. This shows the class footballers we have at the club at this age level, most of whom have come through the ranks as young Dynamos. Well done to all the lads and of course their management teams on their terrific seasons and heres to presentation night at New Century Hall where the celebrations will be fantastic.
Leo Turner (Chairman)
Our Oldham SL open age team can secure the 1st division title in their first year tonight, 6.15pm KO on Crossley PF (behind the Red Barn). If you find yourself at a loose end this evening, please lend your support. Good Luck to the lads tonight, we've had a great season and Congratulations on reaching the Shield Final last Sunday. Final on 18th May at Chaddy FC 11.30 KO.
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
May I be the first to congratulate the two Waynes and the lads of our Lancs Amateur league team. Winning back to back promotions in your first two years in open age football is a fantastic achievement but to win them both as Champions is awesome. You set a great example to the youngsters in our Club and we should all be very proud of you. WELL DONE!!!
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
Would just like to praise the lads for our real team performance on Saturday, it showed grat character when considering an unfortunate and uncharacteristic defeat last week and the amount of key players out injured to bounce back with a 3-0 victory to take us one step closer to consecutive division title. A victory tonight at home (Lord Lane K.O 6;30pm) could confirm our top spot in the league and ensure another momorable league presentation evening once again! Hope as many supporters can join us tonight and spur us on to VICTORY !!!
Millsy

Alex Marriott U13s Juniors
Well done to our U13's Juniors for reaching their League Cup Final. Phil and Alan have worked wonders this season and they have improved week after week and to beat Hattersley, a team they have already lost to twice this season, shows how far they have come. Lets hope you win it now and make it an U13's double.
Gary D
Well done to our Under 13 Juniors who have just won a well deserved Semi Final against Hattersley. All the lads played fantastic and never gave up with their committment and determination to win the game. It was a tense but exciting game and all the lads should be very proud of themselves. A big thank you should go to Phil and Alan who have trained and guided all the team to make them the players they are today, you are the best. Next season can only get better. Final here we come.
Tracey (Mike Berrisfords mum)
Well done to Leo, Gary, Wayne and all the U13's squad. A fantastic result in a helter skelter game that had everything. Dynamos first piece of silverwear this season, let's hope it's the first of many.

Just to let all our friends at the club know that our U13's Cup Final due to be played on Wednesday 2nd April at Hurst Cross has now been re-arranged for Wednesday 16th April at 7pm. The venue is still Hurst Cross (Ashton United's Ground)
Leo & Gary U13's
Really looking forward to building a hugely successfull reserve/youth team to be a fantastic foundation for the senior team. The enthusiasm of the committee and everyone involved excites me. Also the amount of players coming through the system makes its so much easier to build a team of quality footballers. Hopefully I wont have to dip into the transfer market and we can carry on producing a team of homegrown players from Failsworth and the surrounding areas that have the Dynamos standard.
Simon "CAPPELLO" Cooper
After Winning the Under 7's Mini World cup at the boys 1st attempt, myself and my little Defensive Dynamo Ethan, cannot wait for the Matty Dalton Tournament and the new Season to Kick off All I can say is BRING EM ON!!!!!!!!!..

Can I just say a big thanks to all those involved in providing Dynamos with a great new facility at the sports complex at Brierley Ave. I am sure it will be of great benefit now and in the future for all the lads and also it proves how much this club wants to be the best.
Gary D
Just a quick message for Gary Henderson We are sorry to hear that you will no longer be running with the U11 team on weekly bases, we would just like to say a BIG Thank You for all you have done with the Lads. You have done a great job training the lads and I know you will be sorely missed by each and everyone of us. I know after speaking to some of the parents they didn’t get chance to say thanks for all the hard work you have put into the U11s, So I believe I am speaking on behalf of all the parents and players of the U11s THANK YOU and GOOD LUCK
U11s
Big congrats to Wayne on the birth of Mia. I've been following the results of the open age team on the web and it's nice to see you're not missing me too much! Hope you can push on from here and clinch a promotion spot. All the best from a very cold Iowa.

For the second year running, I have been to the Gala Dinner and enjoyed myself almost as much as I enjoyed Man City beating United for the second time in the season. Must congratulate all those involved in the organisation of the Gala Night especially Gary and his family. Looking forward for my third visit to the dinner. Thanks to all once again. Hope to see all soon. Up the Blues and Failsworth Dynamos!

Neil
Big thanks to Gary and his family for a fantastic night on Saturday. I don't think we all appreciate the hard work that Gary has put into the evening and i know he was a little disappointed that all the teams weren't represented. All my guests enjoyed the night and commented on how well the evening was organised. One again Gary Thanks for all your hard work.
Geraldine
jsut a quick note to thank Gary Henderson and everyone at Failsworth Dynamo's for a great evening at the Gala Dinner. My wife Carol and I were as always made to feel most welcome, and we hope all the hard work put in will pay dividends towards the Broadway project. I would also like to thank Leo Turner and Gary Dalton for making me feel welcome at thier games also. So good luck to all the teams for the rest of the season.
Brian Pearson MCFC
I am in the process of putting the full details on the Home page but just to quickly add my comments of thanks to Gary for all his hard work which went into making The Gala Dinner a huge success. This was all down to Gary and his family so massive thanks must also go to Sue, Jane, Olivia and Claudia for their support on the night and to Karen Halford as I know she also made a significant contribution in the preparation for the evening. Special mention to Olivia who is always keen to support Dynamos events and was responsible for the fantastic touches of I.T. on the night with her presentation of Dynamos photos on show all night on the two screens. Brilliant.
Leo Turner
Just like to say a big thanks to Gary Henderson and all the people involved in the Gala Dinner on Saturday for making it such a great evening. With people like this and the rest of the Dynamos volunteers this club will go from strength to strength and make the Broadway project a reality. Lets hope we get the support we need.

Thanks to my dad Gary henderson for a really good night. It takes alot of hard works and late nights for my dad to set up that. It all pays off in the end. Apart from the bingo which i will take the blame for :). Thanks to all the people who bought raffle and bingo tickets. Also to the poeple who bought the shirts. i hope my dads work gets reconised through out of the club.

Thanks very much to Gary Henderson and all those that helped put together the gala dinner. All our party had a really great night .
Tony Jordan U7s manager
With 10 days to go for our third gala dinner ticket sales are a bit slow. This is a fantastic evening to be had by all. I therefore ask all managers/coaches,committee members, players, parents, and friends of dynamos to pullout all stops and support this fantastic event.Monies raised are going to the new broadway fund which is being set up as i write this. For further info give me a call on 07974 572118, Many Thanks Gary Henderson

Managed to see both Under 8's and Under 7's this morning at Ten Acre Lane for the first time in while. Have to say how much it is noticable how well the teams are developing under their respective managers. All four teams were a credit to the club and not only won their games with great goals but all played with a smile on their face. I look forward to seeing the U9's and 10's down there in the next week or so as I know that they too are doing brilliantly. Well done to everyone involved in our Mini Soccer section of Dynamos.
Leo
Wanted to drop a line in the guest book about a peice of selflessness I witnessed on Saturday which sets Dynamos apart from other Clubs. Whilst watching our U8's A beat Moston Jnrs A 5-0, it warmed my heart to see Sam Brooks step aside to allow his team mate Harry Evans score his first goal of the season. Sam could easily have just tapped the ball in, and for all those who know how Sam plays it must have taken great restraint for him not to do so, and allow Harry to score. WELL DONE SAM!!! A true DYNAMO!!!
Neil - Sec & Hon Pres
WE DONE IT AGAIN!!! Well done to the U15s. We have reached our 5th Cup Final in 5 years after a hard fought match with Curzon Ashton (6th Jan). Really proud of the lads. We are playing our best football for long while.
Dve M (U15s)
You are a great and well organised club. Thanks

Hi everyone at Dynamo's, Looking at this web site and the contents in it, it makes me proud to be from Manchester how times have changed from years back when we were lucky to find a football pitch to play let alone the facilities in which Leo and his staff have and are producing for you lucky young footballers to have and use. The work and professionalism that surrounds this organisation is truely fantastic i take my hat of to Leo for havin the drive and determination to help and hopefully make the young talented footballers in which you at Dynamo's are into hopefully one day Professionals!. Keep up the good work dont take football for granted and most of all enjoy playin the game. I keep a look out on this site and i know how well you all are doing. Hopefully i will be along to watch some matches soon. Has.

A special thank you to Wendy Rathbone and family for thier time and commitment in putting this together. Also a special thank you to Leo and family for their part. I also want to send a big thank you to the individual players of the Under 9s team (Jamie's team) as each of them made me an individual card, they were all brilliant, made me laugh (and cry). I hope to be back at meetings and down at the Astro soon. Until then good luck to all teams love Deb (Treasurer)

U11s team
A huge thanks to all Dynamos Managers and Coaches who continue to do a magnificent job at the club week in and week out. Sometimes, it is a thankless task and you have to do the job to understand the pressures of looking after young players and their ambitions and also the pressures that can come from parents who only want the best for their son or daughter (and quite right too). Whether you are a player or a parent, next time you pass a Dynamos manager or coach, give them the encouragement they need by telling them how much you appreciate them and the job they do - it will mean alot to them.
Leo (Proud of the Club ) Turner

Congratulations to the 3 lads who have been selected for the inter league trials. All three have been invited back for further trials/selection. The lads are Adam Marsland, Callum Walsh and Ryan Clynes. The IL manager, who looks after Fletcher Moss, is also interested in having a further look at Taylor Melling and Daniel Cooke who haven't been able to get to the trials. Well done boys!!
Phil Evans u11s
Great news about the Council's decision, lets hope we can go that one step further. This has been achieved by a lot of hard work from people who are committed totally to this club and especially Leo, Dave, Neil and the rest of the volunteers who give their own time for the benefit of all the kids who enjoy playing for Dynamos. Its now time that more people come forward to help with this fantastic opportunity, including parents, and show the council what we are all about.

A massive thank you for the great turn out we had for the rally last Saturday. Without the support of our parents, players, managers, coaches and committee members Failsworth Dynamos would not be the fantastic Club that I am so proud to be a part of. Hopefully this will be the start of the authorities realising and understanding that we are a determined bunch of people and the best amateur Football Club in the area. Thanks again!!

We would just like to say a great big THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who made our Matthew's Balloon Release such a special and spectacular event on Saturday. Obviously it was very emotional for us and all who knew Matty as it is still very difficult to accept that he is no longer with us. We feel a great affinity to Dynamos as the club was such a big part of Matty's life and we are proud to know that so many people are willing to show their love and support in our annual tribute. On the day it was truly comforting to see our immediate family, friends and the Dynamos family coming together to make it such an amazing sight to behold as over 4700 balloons took flight hopefully to all parts of Europe and beyond. We know we couldn't possibly name everyone who helped to make the day so memorable but we would like to give special thanks to: Leo and Neil who made this one of the best tournaments ever. Wayne for his invaluable support. John Bentley for his incredible organising. All Dynamos managers who gave their time freely as usual to ensure the day went without a hitch. The lads from Wayne's Open age team who were such a big help. The parents and players from both Under 13's teams who helped to keep the matches and results running smoothly. The referees. South Failsworth School Everyone who sold or bought a balloon ticket and anyone who we have not mentioned, you know who you are. Finally all our incredible family and friends whose love for Matty and us never waivers. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH Lots of love
GARY AND JOANNE DALTON

Well what can I say after arranging match with Bally and Shenton the under 9s b team managers vs the parents of the under 9s b team we were all nervy on the day but hey we gave them a run for their money what with our oldest player being 52 and theirs 22 and some dodgy refereing in their favour they only just beat us 2 0 on the day one being a bad deflection and one being 10 yards offside but then again shenton missing an open net and then one on one with the keeper fluffed it in front of the kids made the day even better Man of match - Dave Johnson gk and thanks to all the parents and supporters who turned up and thanks to bally and shenton for participating and the rest of their team same time next year boys
M Hough
I would just like to congratulate everyone at Dynamos for a great presentation night, the best one I've been to. A big thank you to Neil, it was an honour and a pleasure to be invited, seeing friends and players who still mean so much to me. Well done to all the teams and good luck for next season. I hope the players realise what a special club they're involved in, its not just the football it's the friends you meet along the way, it changes your life.
Mark Wiseman former manager

On behalf of myself, Leo and the Committee I would like to thank and congratulate all the players and managers for making the Presentation Evenings such a massive success. We all worked hard to put things in place to make last weekend so special and unforgettable but it takes people, 800 over the two nights, to make it work. We are not only the best Club in Manchester but we have the best Managers, coaches, players and parents and the fact that both evenings passed without incident is testament to that! THANK YOU AND WELL DONE!!!
Neil - Hon Pres
Coaching Workshop - Depending on team commitments, we’re looking at either 28th July or 11th August to hold the coaching workshop for Dynamo’s managers. I’ve sent an email to managers with these dates, so if you are interested in attending the workshop or putting on a session for fellow managers, please let me know which date is most suitable. Thanks.
Jonathan - Open Age Coach
Just want to say a big thankyou to Leo for the presentation evenings. Leo worked really hard to put on the 2 nights and I think he deserves huge appreciation. There's no doubt that the club wouldnt be where it is now, if it wasn't for Leo. Cheers m8
Michael Shenton U9's Manager and Open Age player
Leo & Committee Well done for a fantastic presentation night. The best I have been to. It was certainly the way to celebrate the 10 year birthday. You said it would be special and it was. At the risk of reducing Leo to tears again. Well done to Millsy, I not only felt inspired, I was honoured to be in the same room with you. If any of the kids are reading this, this is real character. To the U14s, it has been a privilege to assist Martyn with the coaching this season. We are very proud of you. New challenge next season. Lets go for it.
Dave Merrington
I would like to say a huge thank you to Wayne Kennedy for nominating me for the Matty Dalton Award. I was very surprised to find out when my name was read out as the winner of the award. I am very proud and honoured to win such a special trophy - the best award to get at Dynamos. I never had chance to meet Matty but i'm sure he was a very special boy. Thank you for choosing me as the winner this year - I will never forget it ! I would also like to say welldone to all the other dynamos teams and the people who organised the presentation evenings. Failsworth Dynamos - Simply the Best !!!!!!!!
Michael Wetton - Under 9's
Good morning, we would all just like to say thanks to Leo and all the Committee on what was two fantastic presentation nights, the organisation, time and effort that must have gone into both dates was recognisable. It is a great Club to be part of and we are all looking forward to even more exciting times ahead with the prospect of our own club house. Thanks also to Phil Aitken, Alan Neatis and Jamie Blood for putting in their time, effort and expertise into training Michael (Under 12's) and Joshua (Under 8's) and the rest of their team.
Berrisford Family
A big thank you to all my boys on the Saturday under 11,s team I've had a great first season and couldn't have managed without the help and support from all those involved with the club a special Thank you to Wendy Rathbone who has hepled me with the endless task of collecting subs ! and also to Matt Edge who has been on hand to help when ever i've asked -I inherited a great bunch of lads from Gary Sheldon and they've helped and encouraged a few new faces I brought along.I'm looking forward to next season with all my boys i'm sure with all the hard work and committment they've shown this season that next year is going to be a great time for us all - Good luck to all the other Dynamos age groups for the coming football events - Also thanks to all the boys on my team for their exellent behaviour on the night of the presentation evening and for the great parental support i receive.

A couple of my lad's parents have asked me to post a big thank you to the people at the club who worked so hard to ensure Saturday's tournament day went ahead. Although it's a total sickener that we lost the Sunday, the people involved with our Under 6 boys had a tremendous day on Saturday at what was the first ever tournament for many of them. So, many thanks again Dynamos, and fingers crossed we get Tournament Day 2 rearranged for some time soon.
Tony Jordan U6s coach
sorry that i sed i am leaving dynamos i am not every one because dynamos r a great team to play for see u

I would just like to say well done and thank you to all those involved in the Matty Dalton tournament on Saturday 30 June. The time and effort put in so unselfishly by the officials, parents and players of the club on a day when the weather was so bad was an inspiration. Even though the rain has caused us to cancel the Sunday football and also the Balloon Race was very disappointing, I am sure a re-arranged date can be found and the day will be even more special. All the kids who played in the tournament really enjoyed it and even though they were all saturated the games were played in the right spirit and were a fitting tribute to Matty's memory. It just shows what a great club this is and it would be nice if more people realised just how much the officials who help run it give up to ensure the kids can enjoy their football.
Gary Dalton
To Leo & all commitee members! We thank you for giving us and our players the opportunity in rejoining the DYNAMOS. We are looking forward to the new season in the Reddish League first division wearing the Dynamos shirt.I am more than positive that we will do the club proud and will continue to enhance its fantastic reputation. One small note for the Ryan Shaughnessy fan club (Robbie Wood) he will be going to Hyde United F.C. on trial at the end of June. Many thanks to all once again!
